The Fair Housing requirements of today have expanded significantly since the early era of Civil Rights and the “Fair Housing Act”. The concept of what it means to provide housing that is fairly accessible to everyone will always be progressive, and therefore, so too will be what it takes to be compliant over time. This Fair Housing course will provide the student with everything necessary to perform daily job functions that are compliant with related fair housing laws. Because there are many characteristics of individuals that comprise the meaning of “protected”, this class thoughtfully breaks down each one, using real-life scenarios for the student to practice. Each class in the Fair Housing and the Seven Protected Characteristics will provide a completion certificate, and upon the successful attainment of all classes in this course, a formal designation-earning award will be provided.

Learning Objectives:
Learn the foundation and meaning of “fair housing”.
Understand each of the seven protected characteristics.
Discern compliance between specific real-life scenarios.

Duration: 4 hours Level: Introductory Audience: Owners/Agents, Site Staff, Syndicators and Investors, Developers
